Terms and privacy
Terms of service
Peakbot is operated by Eddy W. Anglin. By using the app, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use it.
What Peakbot does
Peakbot is a moon clock. It marks time windows for a personal decision. A long peak is the moon overhead or underfoot. A short peak is moonrise or moonset. The marked hour starts one hour before that peak and ends one hour after it. Dollar signs rate the strength of the day. This is for entertainment only. Results are not guaranteed.
No advice and no guarantees
Peakbot does not give financial, investment, legal, or gambling advice. It does not change lottery odds, a house edge, a stock price, or how a choice turns out. A peak hour is not a signal to buy, sell, or bet. The moon does not move a price or a random draw. You are responsible for any ticket, wager, purchase, sale, or call you make. Eddy W. Anglin is not liable for money you lose.
Price and trial
Stripe bills the subscription. The plans are $9 a month or $59 a year. A new email and a new card may start a three-day trial. The card is required. One trial per email and per card. If that email or card already used a trial, Stripe charges $9 or $59 that day. Unless you cancel before the trial ends, Stripe charges the plan you chose and renews it until you cancel. A gift code, if one is offered, is entered on the Stripe page.
Canceling
Cancel in the app with Cancel subscription, or cancel in Stripe. Cancel before the trial ends and the plan is not charged. After a charge, canceling stops the next renewal. Charges already made are not refunded.
Reminders
A reminder is a notice on this phone while Peakbot is open. It is not a carrier text. Peakbot does not send SMS. Your number stays on the phone. Turn reminders off with Stop texts. Standard message rates do not apply, because no text is sent.
Law
These terms follow the laws of the State of Georgia. A dispute is filed in Forsyth County, Georgia.
Privacy policy
This policy says what the app collects and what it does not.
What is collected
The email you enter, so the app can match the Stripe subscription and open the hour.
A pass stored on your phone after a paid or trial subscription is confirmed.
A phone number, only if you type one for on-phone reminders. It stays on that phone.
A place, only if you tap Use this phone or pick a city, so the moon clock uses that time zone.
A pinned note, if you save one. It stays on that phone.
Peakbot does not ask you to sign in with Google, Apple, X, or GitHub. Stripe processes the card. Peakbot does not see or store the full card number or the security code.
How it is used
The email and Stripe status are used to open or close the hour and to cancel a subscription. The place is used only to time the moon. The number and pin are used only for reminders and notes on that phone. Information is not sold.
How long it stays
Clear the number, the pin, and the pass by removing them in the app or by clearing the browser data for the site. To delete the Stripe customer record, email [email protected]. Canceling a subscription in the app stops future charges. It does not erase the Stripe record by itself.
